Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Buckinghamshire

Hi, my name is Debbie Cicchirillo and I am an Independent Family and Funeral Celebrant based in the Beautiful town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire. I live here with my husband and two children, who definitely keep me on my toes and we like to take advantage of Marlow’s stunning location on the River Thames whenever possible. When I am not writing ceremonies, you can be sure to find me in pursuit of fun, some of my friends have described me as a bit of an adrenaline seeker so whether its theme parks, bunji jumps, skydiving or scuba diving, there is nothing that phases me. I also love socialising with friends and my happy place has always been the dancefloor, whether or not there is anyone else on it. I am full of energy, enthusiasm and empathy, which I put into every ceremony I write. I am a keen listener and this skill allows me to pick out key information when meeting with families and discussing their needs and bring their personalised ceremony to life. I have worked in many industries and in many roles, but people, have always been my passion, I have always loved building relationships with clients and getting the very best outcomes for all involved. I have an aptitude for public speaking and have often been asked to speak at the ceremonies for my own friends and family, I also have a wealth of experience in hospitality as a wedding Co-ordinator so am very used to ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the day. It was this and a fantastic conversation with a friend who had been a Celebrant for many years, that led me to make the decision to take the plunge myself. In learning more about the role of a celebrant and the ways in which I could provide comfort and support to people during the most difficult times, I knew this was the role for me.

I am privileged to be able to create and conduct ceremonies for both Weddings and Funerals. These occasions are hugely different, but I feel they have the same purpose at their heart, a celebration of love. Weddings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies celebrate the love of a family for a child or the loved that is uniquely shared with a special partner. It can incorporate many new and old traditions and values and then and tell the story of a new life starting or the intertwining path of two people that begin their journey through this life together sharing the twist and turns of their unique story with their nearest and most special friends. There are limitless possibilities to incorporate your own unique personalities into your special day. Whereas, the funeral ceremony is an important and significant event, created to celebrate the life of your lost loved one and should reflect the passions and loves and dislikes of that person with their own personal beliefs and values. This is so poignant in bringing comfort to their friends and families at trying times. Whatever your occasion, I can create for you a totally unique and bespoke ceremony that is unrestricted by location or other regulations. Whether you want to tie the knot in your favourite place on earth, give your child the name you have chosen for them beneath the trees in your very own garden, or give your loved one a personal, honest and touching tribute to celebrate their life.
