Hello, I’m Deborah and. I am your Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Blackpool, specialising in officiating a variety of funeral, family, and wedding ceremonies across the North West.

Originally from Blackpool, I've spent time living in Scotland and overseas. While Blackpool is my home, I consider the Isle of Arran in Scotland my second home, with both places fulfilling my love for the coast and the outdoors.

I share my life with my husband Tony, an army veteran, and enjoy quality time with my son, John, a commercial diver in Scotland. My favourite pastimes include walking, running, and cycling, especially solo coastal walks that inspire my creativity. I also cherish quiet moments by the fire watching movies.

After 25 years in corporate senior operations leadership roles, I transitioned to this fulfilling role, combining my passion for people, creative writing, organisation, and public speaking.

Whether you are bidding farewell to a loved one; or welcoming a loved into your family; or re-affirming your love; each are fundamental landmarks in your life.

If you were to choose me as your celebrant, I would take the time to get to know you and would work closely with you to create a truly unique ceremony. Whether that’s something more traditional, bespoke or themed, through the process of meeting and discussing your needs and wishes, the ceremonies I create for you will be rich and authentic, reflecting your values, beliefs and your unique story. There are no rules or limitations.

During times of loss and grief, I provide support by creating warm and dignified ceremonies that honour the life of your loved one.

I hope to ease this journey and provide a true, warm, captivating and memorable ceremony. Together, we will celebrate their memories while providing comfort and closure to family and friends.

Bidding farewell to a loved one is both a sorrowful and poignant event; having an in-depth introduction to your loved through the process of meeting you and listening about them, allows me to capture and gain a deep sense of your loved one. As you share their life, together with your stories and preferred music, their personality will shine through to build a real sense of who they were.

I will write and deliver the ceremony, fully embracing their personality, and your wishes, to create a true, warm and respectful ceremony, even adding laughter if you so wish, as we say a dedicated, respectful farewell.

From creating vows to incorporating customs and traditions that hold significance for you. I will assist you with writing your vows, should you need it, and I will customise the words of your ceremony and guide you on customs and traditions that suit your personality and wishes.
