Since moving to Spain twelve years ago, and in my life in the UK before that, I believe that my experiences and empathy in dealing with people will assist me as a Family and Funeral Celebrant.
For the last ten years I helped to run a Ladies Social Club with around 90 members and, though no longer involved, this required considerable organisation.
Prior to that my husband and I managed a hotel, catering for many post-funeral gatherings, weddings and other family celebrations.
This has made me aware of the importance of planning, preparation and execution of a meaningful and relevant event for the families concerned. That means taking into account their requirements for organising readings, music and all the other elements.
Wedding Celebrancy
Legal civil weddings are available in Spain but even if you are a Spanish resident these can be costly and fraught with administrative problems.
The legal requirements of your marriage can be completed in your country of residence with just two witnesses. Then with my help as a Civil Celebrant you can have the wedding of your dreams here in Spain.
You can have a bespoke ceremony written by me, with added elements if you wish such as Hand Fasting, Unity Candles, Glass Breaking or a Sand Ceremony and much more.
Family Celebrancy
Family Celebrancy is about marking and respecting each and every life enhancing moment with you. You can celebrate as a couple simply with a Vow Renewal ceremony or a Commitment Ceremony. And with a Naming Ceremony you can welcome a new child or children into your family.
Invite friends and family to perhaps a favourite beauty spot or your own garden and be the focus of a ceremony written just for you.
Funeral Celebrancy
A Funeral Celebrant is becoming a realistic and popular alternative to Clergy of whatever denomination to conduct a funeral. As your Funeral Celebrant I will give as much time as necessary to you, the bereaved, in order to make a ceremony that is memorable to both family and friends as we celebrate the life of your loved one.
If you don’t think you’ll be up to speaking, you can still make sure that every word spoken is yours or approved by you. I will work with you to your instructions, either to create, or help you create, a ceremony that is right for you.
