I qualified as a teacher of the deaf over 30 years ago and worked full time as a teacher/ teacher of the deaf until a few years ago, for half of that time living and working in Spain with my son. In 2016 I began training as a Spiritual Counsellor at the Holistic Healing College in London and went part-time at work.
When I graduated from the Holistic Healing College in 2017, I set up my own company, Pathfinder Holistic Healing. Since then, I have given up teaching and been working as a Holistic Counsellor and Healing Therapist, initially in Cheshire and now near Chorley, in Lancashire, where I also look after my gorgeous grandson once a week.
Training as a Celebrant felt like a natural progression and extension of my holistic business, another way to help families through challenging or life-changing events. I am furthering my training in the Autumn when I begin the End of Life Doula course.

Outside work, I have a passion for nature and love walking in the beautiful countryside on my doorstep. I enjoy reading, music (singing and playing the drums), yoga and Qigong.
I am also a qualified cricket scorer! I was the national scorer for the Spanish teams when I lived in Spain and last year I worked with Lancashire Under 19s.
Through my counselling/ healing work I enjoy giving clients a bespoke experience, using the most relevant of the many and varied therapies I have been trained in. Similarly, as a Celebrant, I offer an individual, person-centred approach, working with the client to create a unique and meaningful ceremony.

During a lifetime we go through many experiences that are 'life changing', whether that is the death of a loved one, the birth of a child, the commitment of two people to each other. These events deserve to be marked with a meaningful ceremony that reflects the true nature of the occasion and the thoughts and feelings of those involved.
It is a privilege to be invited into a family at such an important time and to work with the family to create a unique and personalised ceremony that they can remember for years to come.
I enjoy having the option to put my own spin on a ceremony through combining the information I get from a Soul Plan Reading with the information I receive from the family or couple.
I also offer Reiki packages for couples/ families as a way to de-stress before the Big Day!

I am easy going and a good listener. I will treat you and your family with respect and do my very best to work with you to facilitate a ceremony you will cherish, one that is professional yet personal.
