Hello, my name is Danielle and I'm your Funeral Celebrant in Kent. I am happy to travel to all areas of Kent for both the initial meeting and the ceremony.

I am a family-oriented person who loves spending quality time with my wonderful children and ever-encouraging partner. I am fortunate to have a supportive family that values togetherness and making memories. I cherish the moments we spend together and am always looking for fun and exciting activities to do as a family.

Exploring both the UK and abroad is something I try to do as often as possible - discovering new cultures, trying different cuisines, and creating unforgettable memories. Although, on the contrary, sometimes, there's no place quite like home.

Aside from family, I enjoy catching up with friends over coffee or a walk along the seafront or in the woods - depending on the season. It is always therapeutic taking in surroundings, sharing stories and laughing together over the small things. These moments of connection and warmth are what make life meaningful, and I seek to bring that same sense of comfort and companionship to families during the difficult time of planning a funeral.

Before becoming a Celebrant, I worked as a primary school teacher. I developed a deep passion for helping and guiding people, the love of stories and the need for continuous creativity. I learnt the importance of being present and attentive, being able to adapt alongside the use of all senses to gather information.

In the time between teaching and becoming a celebrant, I tried to put my creativity into creating designs online. But, with my love of words and love of people and their stories and no use for my warmth and compassion I just didn't feel fulfilled. I wanted to combine all that I am passionate about, and purposefully expand as my next step.

Until the passing of my grandad, celebrancy wasn't something I was really aware of. It was from here I felt I had found my calling and a way to facilitate and satisfy my attributes. I realised the importance of someone taking that time to really understand and get to know our loved ones once they had passed to give a meaningful and personal farewell. I saw how much comfort a good celebrant was able to bring. From this I strive to make each ceremony a unique and fitting tribute that sets the tone to honour and celebrate them.

To achieve this, I bring the spirit of curiosity and openness to my work as a Funeral Celebrant. I am always seeking to find the attributes, qualities, accomplishments and adventures that shape the life and personality of the individual, to create a ceremony that truly reflects their unique identity and legacy. I will meet with the family to learn all there is to tell. We can work together to choose readings and other elements that will help create a meaningful and memorable tribute. Whilst I myself identify as non religious - you are free to include religious prayers or other spiritual or non-religious rituals. It is all down to your wishes, preferences and beliefs.

I will share your stories and memories and offer words of comfort. Extending my support to anyone entrusted with readings or tributes. I will provide you with a copy of the script for you to treasure.
