Hello, my name is Emma and I am a Family & Funeral Celebrant based in beautiful Somerset. I live with my partner John and our handsome dog Billy the Beagle. For over 10 years I have been working as a BBC local radio presenter in the West Country and I have become a civil celebrant because it involves all the parts of being a broadcaster that I love... meeting people, interviewing them, writing their story and presenting it.
As a funeral celebrant, I pride myself on making sure the ceremony is truly reflective of the life of the person we are saying goodbye to whilst respecting the wishes of those grieving their loss. When working as a family celebrant I am passionate about working with you and your ideas - if we can make it happen as part of your ceremony then we will! It is very important to me that your ceremony is special and memorable.
I am passionate about writing ceremonies that are unique and tailored to the important life event we are reflecting. My experience as a broadcaster means I am relaxed in high pressure situations and I'm used to dealing with a whole range of situations in a calm and professional manner. I also like to bring warmth and fun to my wedding, baby naming and renewal of vows ceremonies.
I love people and working with people at some of the most important moments in their lives. I would love the opportunity to write a very special ceremony for you.
