My name is Alison Walker, a Family and Funeral Celebrant, based in Cambridge but happy to travel.
My background is in Business Administration and Customer service.

So why did I decide to re-train as a Family and Funeral Celebrant? Well, three years ago I attended a family funeral and came out of the ceremony feeling; that wasn’t my family member, who where they talking about and feeling let down. Life then pushed these thoughts to the back of my mind until I went to a friend’s funeral ceremony and thought how beautiful it was, truly personal and a true reflection of who she was. This got me thinking and I decided I would like to re-train as a Celebrant to be part of those life experiences for people. I have always been a people person so this next move seemed so natural and exciting.

After researching various training companies, I booked myself onto a United Kingdom Society of Celebrants (UKSOC) “Face to Face” training course, because they offered the most comprehensive and supported training. Fast forward, and I now have my Diploma and very proud to say I am a UKSOC Family and Funeral Celebrant.

I can offer ceremonies for Funerals, Memorials, Remembrance, Weddings, Civil ceremonies, Vow renewals, Commitment ceremonies, Naming ceremonies, Anniversaries, in fact any of life events and moments.

All ceremonies will have YOU at the heart and will reflect YOUR personality, be personal and bespoke to YOU. I will be there to offer help, ideas, advice and bring YOUR ideas to life by working closely together. Together we will deliver a personal memorable ceremony in the style of YOUR choosing, marking each and every life moment.
