Hi, I'm Kay an award winning Family, Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Bristol. Together we can create a unique, personalised and beautiful ceremony.

Originating from a Somerset town I moved to Bristol, trained as a nurse and enjoyed a long career in the NHS. Initially I was in intensive care, lead to a specialised role as a Transplant Co-ordinator. It just felt right for me, I found it exciting, progressive and I stayed there for 25 years!

Since then I joined the mass Covid vaccination programme in north Bristol, which I loved, and met more wonderful NHS workers and patients. Vital to all these nursing roles were public speaking (TV and radio), kindness, empathy, sympathy, understanding, listening and comforting, all of these skills being transferrable to my Celebrant role.

I have 3 children, a husband and a labradoodle called Arnie. I love being outside in nature be it ocean, in mountains, valleys or woods. It brings me a sense of calm, connection and is a vital part of my life. One of my favourite things to do is pilot gig rowing for Clevedon - trips to regattas around the West Country and meeting meeting old and new friends, getting exercise and fresh air brings a feeling like no other.

Although I have been a celebrant for only 3 years, in March 2023 I was overjoyed to win the UKSOC 'Celebrant Of The Year' award for the South West. Nominations came from previous clients and I was over the moon!

Writing vows that express your emotions may be overwhelming, but I'm here to offer guidance and support should you need it. Your ceremony should be friendly, warm and inclusive to ensure a memorable occasion. Everyone loves a good story so let's tell your story together.
