Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in the West Midlands
Hello, my name is Kathryn and I am a professional Family and Funeral Celebrant. I have been trained, accredited and am now a member of the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants. I live in Birmingham, but am able to travel to other parts of the UK or beyond if needed.
I have three grown up children and four grandchildren. I love cooking, in particular vegan meals, I enjoy gardening, reading, dancing and going to a book group but most of all I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, my philosophy of life is to fill it up with things you love!
Working as a celebrant, is a privilege, to be able to create bespoke and cherished moments, making sure that they reflect our identities and our personalities. Each ceremony should have a sense of authenticity and personal meaning. Listening is an important part of my role and there is no time limit on how long we can spend to capture the essence of your personal journey and make sure the occasion is special for everyone.
I have always been passionate about equality and supporting others to have wonderful lives working for many years in the world of safeguarding and wellbeing as a trainer and a practitioner. I learnt so much about people, their feelings, their aspirations and dreams, what makes them who they are.
We don't seem to celebrate enough in life and traditional ceremonies are often prescriptive and not very personal at all. Ceremonies should reflect the individuality in all of us and the way we do things. When we plan a ceremony, we are often feeling at our most emotional, the birth of a baby, a marriage to someone we love or the death of someone we love, our feelings can sometimes get lost in amongst the planning. By hiring a celebrant there is a heap of support available to plan your important occasion to reflect your identity and personality making sure it has a sense of personal meaning. I have become a celebrant to make sure people have the best ceremonies possible, ceremonies that reflect lives, loves and dreams.
