Firstly let me introduce myself, my name is Deborah and I am a family celebrant living in Lincoln and member of the UK Society of Celebrants. I decided to become a celebrant after helping to plan both my daughter’s weddings and realising how restrictive it can be when trying to find different types of venues as well as being able to personalise your own ceremony should you not want a traditional service.
Being a college lecturer and assessor for over ten years, I have gained a great deal of knowledge about working with people and developing good relationships. I consider myself to have good communication skills and like to think I am able to inspire people and interpret their needs with a friendly persona.
I specialise in creating personalised and bespoke ceremonies to mark important life events, including wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships, commitment, vow renewals, naming ceremonies and other special occasion ceremonies such as anniversaries etc.
Each ceremony will be unique and tailored to your requirements. Especially written to mark the occasion - you will decide on the type of ceremony, where it will take place and who will contribute to your day. The choreography of the day’s events will be a collaboration of your thoughts and wishes.
Being a family celebrant is a very rewarding job as it involves meeting people and being able to help them at some of their most important and memorable times of their lives. I enjoy the inventive process of planning a ceremony and taking part in the celebration.
I endeavour to deliver a highly professional and crafted service, paying attention to every detail and on the day ensuring that the ceremony runs according to plan and is as stress-free as possible. Creating a beautiful day with love, laughter and maybe a few tears to be treasured for years to come.
It will be a privilege to be involved in your very unique day and I look forward to hearing your story and wishes for your special day.
