I have worked in the charity sector for over 25 years, and have been fortunate to work with a vast range of people and organisations across the North West. I am experienced in creating, developing and supporting partnerships and have years of experience of planning and delivering events. With a degree in English and Drama, I am a skilled storyteller and a confident presenter.

During this time, I have worked with charities supporting NHS patients, developed community projects for children and young people, taught drama to young adults  with additional needs, worked closely with nurses delivering bereavement services and I have also supported individuals and families with empathy and dignity, in some of the most challenging circumstances of their lives.

Whilst I draw on my career related skills and experiences in my celebrancy work, my true inspiration, quite simply comes from my late mother. She was the kindest and most caring person I have ever known – with a natural ability to know what people needed most, how best to support them and to always be ‘’with them’.

Fortunately for me, I am blessed to have inherited her innate need to make a difference and to be there for others.  Whilst my mum has not been with me in person for over twenty years, she continues to be my daily inspiration - to be a better person and to put my genetics to good use!  That is why I became a celebrant and where the name ‘With You Ceremonies’ comes from; it’s my way of carrying on some of the compassion my lovely mum brought to the world.

So when you start your ceremony journey with me, I will be with you; keeping you and your loved ones at the heart, creating a respectful and meaningful ceremony that is celebration of life and love, and an experience that will be with you always.

I write every ceremony as though I were writing it for a beloved member of my own family, or for my best friend. It is important that my ceremonies are honourable, respectful and worthy of a lifelong memory. Happy to include modern, traditional or any religious elements as requested by families.
