Heart’s Desire, Wedding Celebrant in Shropshire and North Wales
Hi, I’m Jenny Porter your Family and Wedding Celebrant on the Welsh / Shropshire borders and I want you to have whatever your heart desires for your special celebration.
Although I primarily cover Shropshire and North Wales, I am within fairly easy reach of Cheshire and Mid Wales too. I would also be very happy to travel further, if you wanted me to help you achieve your perfect celebration.
I live just outside Oswestry with my husband Dave, our mad Springer Spaniel and three chickens.
I have worked for the last 25 years as a Relationship Counsellor. It is a job I love, and it is such a privilege to be able to offer help to others.
Any spare time I have is spent walking around the beautiful countryside where I live. Reading is also a passion, as is indulging in good food and wine.
I decided to train as a Wedding and Family celebrant because friends and family encouraged me to! I have always enjoyed writing, something I have done in various guises as part of my career for many years. I also have considerable experience of public speaking, ranging from small, intimate groups, to large conferences.
However, it was doing readings at two weddings that really started me on my journey towards becoming a celebrant. I loved being able to be a part of helping to make those celebrations special and personal to those couples. It also sparked an interest in learning more about the many different elements and rituals that can be used to make a ceremony special and unique.
I am humbled by how amazing it is to be able to facilitate someone to have the celebration of their dreams, their heart’s desire, tailored specifically and uniquely to them.
That is what I now want to do for you.
Achieving your ‘heart’s desire’
When starting out, I decided to call my business Heart’s Desire because I want to give to you a ceremony that comes from my heart, reflecting perfectly what is in yours.
As a trained Wedding and Family Celebrant, I will write and deliver a uniquely crafted wedding, naming ceremony, vow renewal and any other occasion you would like to celebrate.
Sometimes it’s hard to even imagine what’s possible, I want to show you what is. I will work closely with you, spending time getting to know you so as together we can make your day memorable, showing off who you are, how you feel about your relationship and sharing that with your family and friends.
You may want something small and intensely intimate, or you may want to be surrounded by all your friends and family, perhaps even having them involved in the ceremony. To be honest, the possibilities of what you can do are endless, contained only by the limits of imagination!
I would love to help make your day memorable. Your ceremony is all about you, so let’s make it exactly how you would like it. Your absolute heart’s desire!
