My name is Kim and I am your funeral celebrant in South Yorkshire.

Funeral celebrancy first became interesting to me when I realised that it is one of the ways people can express themselves and their feelings towards a loved one without having to actually having to get up and talk, almost like celebrants are a gramophone into the person that is grieving, allowing them to say how the feel, it's not always easy to express these feelings.

I have always been a voice for people that have never felt they can express themselves, my character is very selfless, which i think is down to my ability to work alongside people giving them the strength and confidence to say what they want. In my previous job I trained people in a trade, bringing out their best qualities, with a kind approach.

I love my sport and exercise, challenging myself, as well as long walks with my husband and our family dog to clear my mind.

Growing up in a sport driven family with two older brothers has made me very competitive, but having a loving family has also made me very empathetic towards the people around me and I pride myself on being very sympathetic, understanding and always having an ear for anyone who needs it.

Unfortunately I lost my security blanket, my mum when I was quite young, she was my best friend and i never felt i couldn't talk to her. I realised after having my two children that I wanted to place the values she had given to me into them.

Celebrancy is definitely the perfect fit for me, helping people, which is just part of my character.

Over the years I have worked alongside many people of all ages, cultures and personalities. I find it easy to talk to anyone and from the off can make a person feel relaxed and calm. When someone is grieving that is the kind of person they need.

With a compassionate nature being composed in any situation, being a voice when people need it the most. Getting the point across with empathy and adapting the family's wishes into a heartfelt ceremony.
Reassuring that nothing is missed out about what someone wants to say about a loved one, detailing the life and experiences that they have had. All details are important no matter how big or small, memories are personal, and these are what you will carry with you after the ceremony.

While I understand this is a very difficult time, I will go above and beyond to give you all the time you need. This is your ceremony. This is your loved one. With guidance when you need it, we can make sure you get everything you want out of it. All I want to do is guide and be an ear for you.

I will do the best I can to provide a ceremony that is personal to you and answer any questions you may have leading up to the day.

Trusting in me I will make the ceremony one to remember for all the right reasons, it's the final journey for your loved one and for some this is the last memory they will have of them, so let me make the day as special as they were to you.
