I am Emma Eastwood and I am a Leeds based celebrant. My desire to become a celebrant began when attending a very impersonal family funeral when I was a teenager. I couldn’t help thinking that this just wasn’t the way things should be. A later family funeral carried out by a celebrant was like a Eureka moment for me. A real celebration of life. Following on from that I realised the joy that could be given from a personalised bespoke service to commemorate the life of a loved one, help a couple to celebrate their wedding and to welcome a child into the world.
I am aged 36 years old have worked in the property industry for over 18 years. I have been a volunteer in Junior Chamber International for the last 8 years, which is a personal development organisation that aims to get young adults to become more involved in their local community. This has been so rewarding over the years and has enabled me to travel, manage teams of up to 450 volunteers, to arrange a wide variety of events both small and large and to take part in international public speaking competitions.
Experiences ranging from being part of a winning world debating team in New Delhi India to meeting the Queen and Prince Albert of Monaco in one day. I have wealth of organisational skills and life experience to help me to make the key milestones in life extra special. I am professional, hardworking and understanding with a keen eye for detail and a great sense of fun.
