I am Lilian Smith-Vincent a funeral celebrant who trained with the UKSOC, completing my training in January 2019.

I am married to Tim an antique dealer and enjoy the chase of finding, restoring and then selling each item.

We have 3 children between us who are all grown up and married with their own children. Our 5 grand children give us much joy and exhaustion ! We see them as often as we can and since retiring have been able to help look after them.

I love to travel and prefer fairly active holidays, walking, sightseeing, museums etc. I particularly like cooking abroad, enjoying visiting markets and exploring local fare.

I retired from nursing in 2018 having had a wonderful career spanning over 40 years, latterly as a palliative care nurse. The experience and skills I gained during that work link well to the role of funeral celebrant. I am interested in people and enjoy crafting the story of someones life.

I think it is a privilege to be asked to help with a funeral and I enjoy the challenge of creating a ceremony that reflects the true nature of each truly individual person.

I am a good listener and enjoy crafting the unique story of a persons life.
