Hello I’m Mandy thank you for considering to ask me to help you celebrate the life of and to say goodbye to an important person in your life. With your memories and our combined life experiences, we can create a ceremony that will pay tribute to, and express the loss of someone close. I am a celebrant that has empathy and insight to loss and grief.

I have come to appreciate that we need someone who understands these emotions to help us in making sure that we say goodbye in our own special way. Being a teacher has helped me to become an attentive listener and to communicate the feelings and emotions of others in a meaningful way with respect and consideration.

Funerals are sad and challenging times but they are also an important occasion to mark the passing of a dear loved one and to say goodbye.

Together we can create a ceremony that tells the unique story of a loved one. The legacy of one dear to us has left behind, or the hopes and dreams that were yet to be fulfilled. There is always the extraordinary to be celebrated in what to many may seem an ordinary life, or a life never to be fully lived.

Ceremonies are created with tenderness, respect and insight using special memories but always with the wishes of the deceased in mind if they are known and importantly the wishes of the family. Family and friends are central to the ceremony and it is essential that their opinions, memories and preferences are heard so that they are able to say goodbye in their own special way. Death is a natural process of life and increasingly we as a society are becoming more understanding and accepting of this. Some families may wish to lead the funeral ceremony and or memorial ceremony afterwards themselves.

I am here to help you plan and write the script for this important occasion. I will always be guided by your choices and individual needs. Together we will build and shape a highly individual ceremony to remember and say goodbye to someone special.
