Hi there, I’m a 30-something journalist who fell in love with weddings while planning my own weekend-long, festival-themed wedding in 2014. In 2016 I launched my wedding blog and passion project, the Big Day Collective, to inspire couples to get their hands dirty with wedding planning and connect them to talented creatives in the sector.
While I’ve personally always relished the ‘I dos’, it’s true that the ceremony is often regarded as ‘the boring bit’. But the beauty of a celebrant-led service is the ability to do things your own way, with no restrictions. As a newcomer to the professional wedding scene I bring a fresh approach to celebrancy, one that focuses on the importance of storytelling. I work hard to deliver engaging (and even interactive) ceremonies that keep the focus on the happy couple while entertaining guests and prepping them for the festivities ahead.
Using my experience as a professional writer and journalist for over 10 years I will work collaboratively with you to create a ceremony that reflects your personalities, shares your story and helps to set the scene for your guests.
You’ll be in good hands - I’m fully trained with a diploma in funeral and family celebrancy (to conduct weddings, naming ceremonies and funerals). Feel free to get in touch with any queries, I’ll be delighted to hear from you and talk more about the possibilities.
