My name is Tally Knipe , a Family Celebrant, based in County Down and am happy to travel all over the island of Ireland.
My background is in teaching English and Drama at Secondary level and I currently run my own Event Planning business .
So why did I decide to train as a Family Celebrant? Well, I have always loved weddings and the idea of being able to be part of a couple’s wedding day and making it extra special, really appealed to me. I also attended quite a few events where the ceremony was generic and, quite frankly, boring and I thought – I could do better than that!
So when I stopped teaching and started my own events business, I thought I could put my planning, organisation and oratory skills to use as celebrant.
After researching various training organisations, I decided on training with UKSOC and I’m so glad I did. After months of thorough training, I now have my Diploma and very proud to say I am a UKSOC Family Celebrant.
I offer ceremonies for Weddings, Civil ceremonies, Vow renewals, Commitment ceremonies, Naming ceremonies, Anniversaries, and any other significant moment in your life that you would like to mark with a ceremony. Your ceremony can take place in any location – a hotel, your garden or even your local museum. With a UKSOC celebrant, the possibilities are endless!
If you are looking for a generic and humourless ceremony, I am not the celebrant for you. I approach all my ceremonies with warmth and humour and ensure you at the heart of it. Your ceremony will reflect your personality and will be unique to you. I will offer help, ideas and advice and then use my strong background in writing to craft a bespoke, unique and creative ceremony that’s personal to you. Together we will deliver a one-of-a-kind memorable ceremony in the style of your choosing; marking each and every significant life moment.
