Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in West Yorkshire

Hi, my name is Paula and I am your Family, Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in West Yorkshire.  I live and work in the beautiful Bronte countryside in West Yorkshire. I also cover North Yorkshire and East Lancashire.

When I am not working, I read and watch science fantasy series – big Game of Thrones fan here! My claim to fame is having my photo taken with The Mountain AKA Halfthor Bjornsson/Sandor Clegane when he was in Leeds doing a Strongman competition a few years ago – a prized possession indeed.

I am a big Marvel fan as well and if pushed will say that Guardians of the Galaxy are probably my favourite movies in that franchise, mainly for the music and Groot.

I also love the summer months when I can spend time in my garden and watch the wildlife that comes to visit me.

Celebrancy is am amazing job and while I also enjoyed my mental health nursing and teaching work, I felt that i wanted to work with people in a different way. I also feel that the skills I acquired through my previous careers have equipped me well for this. The opportunity for me to become a celebrant came out of being made redundant from my last post and I realised that it was the right time for me to pursue that dream.

I am very much a people person, I love to learn about people, what has made them who they are today, what has made them the unique individuals they are. We are all shaped by our values and beliefs and one thing that my nursing career taught me is that we definitely come in all shapes and sizes and how important it is to respect and value those differences as well as to recognise and celebrate the similarities.

I like to think of myself as very open minded and I am very flexible and adaptable, so no request is too out there as long as it is legally permissible.
My aim as a celebrant is to provide you with a truly special ceremony for your family event.

It is my fervent belief that we are all individuals, and your ceremony should reflect that individuality whether the ceremony is a wedding, naming ceremony or a funeral.
Being asked to be a part of your special event by leading the ceremony is both an honour and a privilege and it is a responsibility that I do not take lightly.

You would have full support from me to plan and create your ceremony with advice and guidance as required.
