Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in London
How would your loved one like to be remembered? Would you like your wedding to be unforgettable?
A breath of fresh air, let me be your inspiration.
Who am I?
I'm a Family and Funeral Celebrant in SW London, but I am happy to work in your chosen location, wherever that may be.
I am someone who gets on with people of all ages, and from all walks of life. I’ve had multiple careers, and learned a lot about life, love and loss. I am intuitive, empathetic, organised - and always prepared for the unexpected.
I became a celebrant because of a spiritual calling. This is what I am meant to do.
What type of ceremonies do I offer?
My aim is to create a ceremony that will resonate and be remembered. We will travel on a journey together - negotiating the grief of losing someone you love, or sharing one of the most joyous moments in your lifetime.
For funerals, my purpose is to give your loved one the best possible bespoke send-off, through carefully considered and prepared words, presented in a caring, professional, polished and straight-from-the-heart manner. Your ceremony will be fitting, respectful, uplifting, and an enduring memory of the occasion. I strive to capture the essence of the the person who has died, and you will not be disappointed.
For weddings, my job as a civil celebrant is to make this the most momentous day of your life. But I would like to provide you with even more than that: I will create a bespoke ceremony that you will never forget. Your ceremony will be honest, authentic, meaningful, charming and, above all, unique.
My mission is to produce some of the most treasured moments you will ever experience. For all ceremonies, I am able to include secular and/or religious readings, music, and prayers of your choice, or I can make suggestions that are personalised to your requirements.
I am based in South-West London; covering the London boroughs of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Richmond, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Chiswick, and surrounding areas. I am also happy to travel elsewhere in the UK, or overseas, to accommodate any special location you have chosen.
Why choose me?
My experience spans many areas from financial management and fashion, to headhunting, trend forecasting, writing, editing, life coaching and public speaking. I will use my skills to help provide you with the best possible commemoration of your occasion.
As far as writing and presenting your ceremony are concerned, I am a published author, having written on subjects including death, remembrance, digital immortality, dress codes, wedding dress, marital celebrations and many other relevant topics - as well as discussing and debating them on social and mainstream media, at conferences and talks.
When we get to speak to each other, you will benefit from interviewing skills honed during my years as a recruitment consultant, a trained life coach and mentor, and even running a dating agency.
Some other facts about me:
My musical tastes span disco, soul, hip-hop, reggae, rock, world music, classical and jazz, along with baroque choral music and Gregorian chant. I’ve played the violin on stage at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and other prestigious venues. I love dancing: in fact, I once danced for six and half hours in a samba troupe at the Notting Hill Carnival dressed as a giant butterfly. I’m also a closet (excuse the pun) fashion historian, and a film buff.
So please let me know about your (or your loved one’s) favourite films, TV, music, clothing, and dance styles - along with the attributes and stories that hold most significance for you.
